Classes meet weekly over Zoom, offering a convenient yet engaging format. Each session is designed to explore and discover new information, discuss photography topics, and provide take-home tasks to practice and implement your skills. Plus, all classes are recorded, so you can revisit the lessons anytime online!

Through small group conversations, hands-on mini-assignments, and live demonstrations, you'll gain a broad understanding of digital photography. This warm and supportive environment is the perfect place to learn, experiment, and grow.

What you’ll need:

  • A digital camera (with “manual mode” is preferable)

  • Access to zoom / an internet connection for class meetings

  • Laptop or desktop computer with stable internet connection.

  • Access to Adobe Lightroom for editing photos (recommended)

  • A curiosity for photography!

Timeline:

  • 7-Sessions: Sundays from 10:00a-12:00 pm.

  • Dates: 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13

  • On-going feedback available thru online platforms.

  • Assignments and class recordings available even when students cannot attend.

FAQ’s

  • Absolutely. This course is intended for everyone and anyone who has a camera and is excited to learn. No past experience is required

    • Photography can benefit from addtional gear but this class will not require excessive purchases. We do strongly encourage students to download Adobe Lightroom for editing photos. This is a subscription for $12/month and is a tremendous tool for beginner photographers. Additionally, throughout the class we'll share a few essential pieces of kit that you'll likely want to buy (under $25).

    • No problem. Each class will be recorded and can be downloaded at any time during the course.

    • We’ve got you covered. The group will have access to a private forum where they can ask for guidance, post photos for feedback, or just share ideas.

    • Of course! We encourage students to join each class to continue to learn, learn new skills, see other students' work, share thoughts and give helpful feedback!
