Lighthouses of New England
Lighthouse Exploration
The Lighthouses of New England workshop series is a relaxed, enjoyable, and informative experience for all skill levels. During the workshop we’ll explore the surrounding area to get a sense of the incredible photo opportunities; you will also receive personal guidance on how to capture the optimal photo with your specific camera gear.
The BPW selected each lighthouse considering lighting and unique, site-specific qualities. As the day turns into evening, you will be able to locate your favorite sites and concentrate on capturing photos with the one-on-one guidance of an instructor.
Want to be better prepared for your workshop?
Join our optional “Online Prep Class”.
Our online prep classes take place 1 week prior to the workshop and are an excellent opportunity to learn more about the lighthouse and local area, talk advanced gear tips and suggestions, and get answers to any and all questions ahead of time.
During the online class you’ll meet your instructor and other students as we look over satellite maps, review example photos of the lighthouses from different vantage points, and discuss the location—all to help prepare you for optimal photos. You will learn where and how to get particular iconic photos, and ask questions about your own cameras, lens options and more.
