Lunar Photography

Enjoy the outdoors and learn how to photograph the Moon in real time.

Photographing the moon is a wonderful and enjoyable way to learn more about your camera, all while enjoying the great outdoors. In this small group workshop students will learn how to approach lunar photography to achieve the best possible images, receive step by step instructions on settings, focusing, and overall approach.

Meeting in an open air space, such as a park, the group will go over tripod basics, then proceed to setting up our cameras and lenses for lunar photography. As the night goes on and images are being captured, students will receive individual guidance with their particular goals. We’ll cover tips and tricks through-out the class and conclude the class with next steps, and gear recommendations.

As is with all outdoor workshops weather is unpredictable. 24-48hrs prior to class students will be notified with class information and weather updates. If poor weather is imminent students will have the option to join a rescheduled class date, or receive student credit.
