The BPW community loves to explore, so we’ve created one-day outings to help you improve your photo skills in fun and accessible locations just outside the Boston area. Pack your camera bag and get ready for an enjoyable, easy, and exploratory photo experience with the BPW team!
What you can expect:
Day trips are typically within 2hrs of downtown Boston, but close enough to be accessible via public transit.
Expect about 1.5-2 miles of easy-paced walking
Information regarding directions, what to bring, our route, and where to meet will be emailed prior to class.
Locations for day trips are rotated based on the time of year and seasonal events. Check back in for new additions!

Explore and photograph one of Americas most iconic lighthouses. Beyond the spectacular Maine coastline, Fort Williams park offers an array of scenic locations, including: the Battery Keyes, Goddard Mansion, Ship Cove, and a children’s garden. Fort Williams Park is must see for the autumn season.

Admission + parking are free for the park

A digital camera (SLR, mirrorless, or advanced compact camera)
Experience using some manual camera settings is encouraged, but not required
