Portraiture: Using Natural Light
Keeping it simple: Learn to capture your subject’s natural beauty with natural light
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the ins and outs of working with natural light. We spend a portion of class addressing the different types of natural light, how to enhance it to our benefit and basic tools and techniques for working with it.
From there, you will work with a model to implement these techniques both indoors and (weather permitting) outdoors. We’ll also discuss essential tools such as reflectors and diffusers that will help “balance” natural light. With our instructors by your side offering suggestions and guidance, students will have a chance to create photos using their own cameras, learning real skills in real time. This class will leave you feeling more confident in photographing portraits with nothing but natural light!
