Portraiture: Posing Basics

Learn to direct your subjects and create timeless photos with simple “go to” poses.

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn simple and effective ways to pose subject for a variety of uses. We will start by reviewing portraiture techniques, commonly used camera settings, and how to interact with, and provide guidance for your subject.

From there, you will work with a model to practice three specific posing goals: a simple “LinkedIn” style headshot, a more “creative” headshot, and an environmental portrait. Our instructor will be by your side offering suggestions and guidance throughout the workshop.
