2024 BPW Showcase at Distillery Gallery
September 13 to October 1 - 516 East 2nd Street
The BPW is excited to announce our fourth student showcase this September!
The Student Showcase is a group art show composed of BPW student photographs which culminates in a opening reception and a month long gallery show.
How it works: Participants register for the showcase, register a photo, then have it printed and framed.. and voilà, done!
By hosting this gallery showcase, the BPW hopes to honor the photographic print, opening up students to this critical experience of printing their photographs.
At the same time, we aim to celebrate our community of students and the beautiful art they create, while fully appreciating and preserving their work.
Showcase Overview:
The Showcase is exclusively open to BPW students and there is a $79 entry fee for guaranteed entry into the Showcase
All artwork will be submitted to and reviewed by the BPW team prior to acceptance into the show.
Students will be responsible for printing and framing their artwork in accordance to the gallery’s guidelines.
Preliminary digital submissions are due August, 12th at 11pm (EST).
Note: digital submissions do not have to be final edits
The reception will be held at 516 East 2nd Street in South Boston on Friday, September 13th, 2024.
What’s Included:
A Showcase Digital Packet: your step-by-step guide to prepare for the showcase (emailed within 72hrs)
Access to our “Better Prints in Lightroom” video. A helpful tutorial on how to improve prints using Lightroom Classic (link + password provided in the digital packet)
Your artwork professional hung and showcased at the Distillary Gallery in South Boston
