As hard as photographing the stars may seem, the BPW has made it our mission to help photographers make.. *stellar* photos of stars by hosting our astrophotography weekend workshop at Pemaquid Point in Maine. In this 3-night adventure students of all skill levels learn how to capture the stars, how to edit their photos and.. how to plan for their next astro-photo adventure using helpful tools and apps.
Our weekend workshop in July 2022 was one for the books. Sun-filled days led into clear, cool nights with glowing stars and a crystal clear Milky Way. With some photographing from sunset to 1:00 am, everyone was addicted to photographing Maine’s incredible, clear skies.
Over the course of three nights with the guidance of our three instructors, students had the chance to learn, explore, and create. With little-to-no past experience in astrophotography, our students ended up capturing these incredible images with their own digital cameras. Our team is blown away at the breathtaking images our students created and could not be prouder.
The 3-Night Astrophotography workshop is one of our favorites as it shows new photographers what they and their cameras are capable of all while enjoying the beautiful, New England landscapes.
